FAQ

  • SANIDERM METHOD:

If I put the saniderm bandage on your tattoo, please keep it on for 5 days unless it *absolutely needs to come off sooner.

*Take if off sooner if you experience any sort of allergic reaction (Such as hives. Redness and swelling are normal), or if you notice a small “channel” open up and outside water is getting in, as this would mean the protective seal is now compromised. Some seeping ink/plasma inside the bandage or the tattoo appearing “cloudy” underneath is completely normal.

On day 5, take it off in the shower under some soapy lukewarm water, peeling it gently away from the skin.

After the Saniderm is removed, use mild (liquid) soap in the shower to hand wash tattoo gently (refrain from using a sponge or shower loofa) Pat dry with clean towel afterwards and apply a very THIN layer of fragrant free lotion to tattoo twice a day to the cleaned skin. Avoid Aquaphor and any ointments. Only the mild soap and fragrant free lotion should touch your healing tattoo. Avoid excessive sweating (no gyms!), direct sun exposure, submerging in water, swimming, scratching, or any dirty objects from coming into contact with the tattoo. Tattoos take around 4-6 weeks to fully heal.

    TRADITIONAL METHOD:

I will cover the tattoo in plastic wrap with Aquaphor it if we dont use the adhesive bandage.

Remove this plastic wrap when you have arrived home. It should not stay on longer than a couple hours.

Gently wash tattoo with mild soap. Pat dry with a clean towel/air dry when out of shower. For the first 3 days, apply a VERY thin layer of Aquaphor on tattoo. 2-3 times a day. Each time you apply a new layer, wash off the old. This layer should be extremely thin, you barely notice it.

After the initial 3 days have passed, stop using the Aquaphor. Switch to unscented lotion, such as Aveeno Daily Unscented.

Apply the unscented lotion on cleaned tattoo 3 times a day.

    DON’T scratch the tattoo

DON’T pick or pull at the skin bits that peel from the tattoo

    Avoid tight clothing against tattoo

Avoid soaking in pools, oceans, tubs, and kind of submerging in a body of water (only showers are okay)

    Avoid direct sunlight/tanning

Tattoos take around 4-6 weeks to fully heal. Take extra caution and care to tattoo during this period.

  • When each client books with me, I put this information in the confirmation email so they know what to expect.

I create client designs by reviewing our email correspondence and the references/examples sent to me to ensure I fully grasp what they’re looking for and don’t miss any of their requested criteria.

With this being said, I show the client the design on the day of the appointment that way if they wish to make any alterations, I can do so in front of them as we discuss what such adjustments may entail or alter and what to expect (such as the legibility, size, etc.)

I create and handle all my client designs this way as its the most organized and efficient for me, and gives each client my full focus on their designated date to accommodate their needs/requests.

  • A non-refundable deposit is needed to make your appointment official as it covers both the time I spend on and reserve for the clients design/design process and the appointment slot held for the individual. This deposit pays for my time invested before the tattoo appointment begins, and the slot being withheld from other potential clients.

  • As stated above, the deposit compensates me for both my time/work invested into the client’s design and the slot being withheld from other potential clientele. My time designing, consulting, and general preparation for appointment is not a refundable service, and the time spent holding the appointment could have been utilized to reserve another/other interested client/s.

  • Sleep well the night prior, make sure to eat something beforehand and stay hydrated.

It is strongly recommended you refrain from consuming alcohol the day prior/right after your session. Shower the morning of, and wear comfortable clothing. Bring some headphones/charged phone as to be prepared to sit still for a few hours

Plan to arrive around 5 minutes early for paperwork/check in. Notify me if you’re running late. In some cases, showing up significantly late may result in forfeiting the appointment and requiring another deposit to reschedule.

Cash is best, please ensure you have payment methods sorted prior to arrival.

  • Safety and cleaniless is a priorty for myself, my workspace, and my clients. A well-fitting mask needs to be worn at all times during appointment. If you are showing symptoms, coughing nonstop, feel unwell, or have come into direct contact with someone who has tested positive, let me know and request to reschedule immediately.

  • Just with any other custom service, the price quote depends on numerous criteria. The quotes are contingent upon factors such as: size, location on body, complexity of design, estimated session time. It’s best to provide all of this information, as well as attach some helpful reference/example images in your first inquiry message for an accurate quote.

  • If this is a concern, it is best to ask me a time estimate prior to finalizing your appointment. Session length is contingent upon how large/complex the piece is, as well as placement on body.

It is best to not rush the appointment, so please plan accordingly.

  • No, the stress and changes in the body while getting tattooed have the potential to harm you or the health of the child. I will not re-consider this at all. Please reach back out if still interested when you are no longer pregnant or breast-feeding.
